Sumitomo Chemical's Olyset® Net has received prestigious awards from The Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose, California and the Asahi Shimbun in Japan. The Asahi Corporate Citizen Award recognizes innovative, long-term social contributions by corporations. The Asahi Shimbun is Japan's major newspaper company. The award, established in 2004, reflects a global trend to require companies to accept social responsibility. This year, Sumitomo Chemical was selected as one of five laureates from a field of 177 companies. |

The Tech Museum Awards program was established with the aim of recognizing innovative uses of technology that bring sustained benefit and contribute to solving the most pressing problems facing humanity. Olyset Net was chosen as the Prize Laureate in the Health category. |
